PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:

The objective of this program is to provide comprehensive training in the field of Nail Technology and to successfully complete the State and school requirements to become eligible for registration as a Nail Specialist with the Board of Cosmetology (DBPR).

 

Our Nail Technology program is continuously being updated with the latest techniques in the Nail Industry to ensure you are prepared for the biggest obstacles and challenges facing your profession.

As a future Nail Technician, you’ll be prepared to identify nail diseases and serve every client with professionalism and grace.

CAREER OPPORTUNITIES:

The Bureau of labor Statistics estimates that the overall employment for Manicurists and Pedicurists is projected to grow 12 percent from 2016 to 2026, faster than the average for all occupations.

 

This means that you will be able to have a schedule that is flexible around your needs. You will not have a set schedule, which means that you can have more control over your income.

 

MANICURISTS AND PEDICURISTS

 

If you choose to become a Nail Technician, you will have a multitude of opportunities for where you can showcase your talents. You can work in a salon or spa but you can also work within the following industries: Entertainment, Fashion or Hospitality.

 

Licensed Nail Technicians may find employment in:

 

  • Nail Salons

  • Spas and Hair Salons

  • Resorts

  • Cruise Ships

  • Country Clubs

  • Health and Personal Care Stores

  • Retail

  • Mobile Nail Tech Jobs

 

Many work for a salon, but others choose to open and own their own nail businesses. Some Nail Technicians decide to take their education and career to the next level and develop their own product line which could be a polish line, nail care product or even develop all-new styles of manicures like the new popular gel nail trend.
